Version 0.1.0 · Early access
Download Fullpoint for Mac.
Free during early access. The AI assistant is optional: it uses your own Anthropic API key, and Anthropic bills you directly for what it uses.

Apple silicon
For Macs with an M1, M2, M3, M4 or later chip: most Macs from late 2020 on.
Fullpoint-0.1.0-arm64.dmg
Download for Apple silicon
Both need macOS 13 Ventura or later. Not sure which Mac you have? Here’s how to tell.
This early version isn’t notarised by Apple yet, so the first time you open it, your Mac asks you to approve it. Here’s how.
Which one do I need?
Open the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen and choose About This Mac. If it says Chip followed by Apple M-something, choose Apple silicon. If it says Processor followed by Intel, choose Intel.
What you need
- macOS
- macOS 13 Ventura or later
- Mac
- Apple silicon or Intel
- Space
- About 430 MB once installed, plus about 97 MB if you download the natural voice for Read aloud
- For the assistant
- An internet connection and your own Anthropic API key, from console.anthropic.com. Everything else works offline.
Install
- Double-click the file you downloaded. A window opens.
- Drag Fullpoint into the Applications folder.
- Eject the disk: in Finder’s sidebar, click the eject button next to Fullpoint.
Opening it the first time
This early version isn’t yet registered with Apple (it isn’t “notarised”), so your Mac will warn you the first time you open it and won’t open it straight away. That’s expected, and you only need to do this once.
On macOS 15 Sequoia or later
- Open your Applications folder and double-click Fullpoint.
- A message says “Fullpoint” Not Opened: Apple could not verify that it is free of malware. Click Done. Don’t click Move to Bin (Move to Trash on some Macs).
- Open System Settings from the Apple menu and click Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to Security, where it says Fullpoint was blocked, and click Open Anyway.
- Enter your Mac password or use Touch ID if asked, then click Open Anyway once more.
On macOS 14 Sonoma or 13 Ventura
- Open your Applications folder.
- Hold the Control key and click Fullpoint (or right-click it), then choose Open.
- In the message that appears, click Open.
After that, Fullpoint opens like any other app.
If your Mac says the app “is damaged”
This can happen if the download was interrupted. Delete the app, then download and install it again. If you still see the message, you can clear the “downloaded from the internet” mark that macOS puts on the app, which is what sets off the check. Only do this for a copy you downloaded from this site. Open Terminal (in Applications, then Utilities), paste this line and press Return, then open Fullpoint again:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Fullpoint.app"
If that doesn’t help, tell us, with your macOS version.
Updates
Fullpoint checks now and then whether a newer version is out. When there is one, an Update button appears at the bottom of the document list; it opens the download in your browser. Drag the new Fullpoint into Applications and choose Replace. Your documents and their history aren’t touched. You may need to do the first-launch steps again.
Where your writing goes
Documents are saved as ordinary files in a Fullpoint folder inside your Documents folder, and you can choose another folder at any time. Uninstalling the app leaves them where they are. More on privacy.
